Homebase basics are £6.99 for 5. I think around 1000 hours life on each.
Homebase are also doing 3 for 2 on Phillips 2000 hour bulbs - £6.99 for a pack of 2, so £13.98 for 6 bulbs0 -
I have some of the LED GU10s in my kitchen. They're not very bright at all. I've got two light fittings, each with 3 bulbs. So I've stuck the LED lights on the outer 2 bulbs with a normal GU10 halogen bulb in the middle.
Saves a bit of electric without compromising too much on the light output.
Where the halogen bulb chucks out light in all directions, the LED bulb is more focused, and a lot dimmer.0 -
Wen't to B&Q and could only find twin packs for £8.99. Any chance you could provide a little more info so I might be able to track them down.
Ideally product code from the recipt and what does the box look like.
Thanks0 -
Think its down to the number of LEDs, apparantly you want to go for the 60 LED ones to match the normal GU10 ones.Money, Money, Money ..... Banks/Casinos/Bookies give me all you money its a poor mans world....0

OMG I just paid £8.98 per bulb for Megaman GU10 9w and I needed 8 !
Would any brand have done?
I got Megaman as that was what was in the light fittings?0 -
Claire21, Megaman CFL GU10 are pretty good imo, warmup time isn't too bad for CFLs but not that quick.
ashcarrot, the 60 led Gu10 output are near 30-35watts in reality. Also a lot of them are poor quality and don't last. Of about 4, I have 2 still alive after one year and doing an ok job. Light output is a little low but paired with two megaman cfl gu10s. I get the benifit of instant light, the megamans are brighter once they warm up and overall saving on electricty. However the price of the 60 LED Gu10 is quite high and questionable reliability and build quality.0 -
I buy mine from ekodelec on ebay. £7 for box of 10 delivered.0
