Hi, I've been trying (when I've got the spare time) to find a recovery download to burn to sort out my brother's virus riddled Dell. I am no computer whizz but 'TonyHague recommended the Ultimate Boot CD here - http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html but it looks soooo confusing to get to put on disk in the right format, can anyone give me an idiots guide or an alternative.

It's a great boot CD, other than the guides on the site here: http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/tutorials.html
I can't really offer a better guide
