Does anybody have a Roomba?

Lol my aunt's got one and she likes it, though it freaked her out a little because it just randomly wanders off from its charging hub, she found it bashing itself against her bedroom door having hoovered up a small pair of scissors (these were sitting along the sucky vent)! She now thinks it's out to get her!
**Thanks to everyone on here for hints, tips and advice!**:D

That has really made me laugh! although I hope it hasn`t upset your aunt too much. I suppose every rose has its thorn, even handy robot type things.0 -
No, she's fine really, but when she told me the story I laughed and laughed!

My Ex had one, it was called Edgar ... as in J. Edgar Hoover
Anyway, It was fab. It needed regular empyting and taking apart to make sure all the bits weren't all tied up with hair etc but other than that brilliant.
You could leave it to do it's thing and come back to a really well hoovered room - I always thought that it made a knackered, old carpet look quite reasonable.
If I had £100 odd spare  I would consider buying one - I'm sure I have better stuff to do with the time I spend hoovering!Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re probably right ~ Henry Ford0 -
Just a word of warning, Domotec, the UK service agent has ceased trading. Now repairs are being done in Germany. I have both a Roomba and Scooba (love the Roomba, wouldn't bother with a Scooba). Waited so long for the UK service agents to respond to a service request, that the Roomba is now out of warranty. Germany say it's nothing to do with them. Taking it up with States but yet to get any response . If you are going to buy one I'd suggest paying the extra and purchasing through Lakeland as at least then you know if there are any problems they will propably be far more helpful and replace the product.0

Friends of ours have one and they love it! Come to think of it I could do with a gadget that hoovers as I have to do it everyday and it would free up my time to do other things!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0

I laughed on an earlier post on this thread but out of interest I looked them up on the net and was flabbergasted to read so many positive postings. I bought one and it is absolutely fantastic, it does the kitchen every day and other rooms when I want it too. I love the way he cleans under the bed and suprisingly, he is very efficient
Not a necessity but a great buy for someone like me who is ski-ing0 -
