I rang about working tax credits and she said I should get about £98 a week, I know this is just an estimate and I might get less but at least i'll definitely get something. :T She's going to send the forms out today.
I chased up the council and they were a bit rubbish to be honest. It said on the form that they will contact our employers for payslips if we don't have them but they've written to me for them, if I had them I would have enclosed them in the first place  I should be able to get my wage slips on Wednesday (i'm off sick and they're in my drawer at work)
I'm also going to have to do my accounts, i'm an Avon Rep and they need proof of my earnings but the invoices Avon send me make it look like I earn about £150 every 3 weeks and I really don't! So going to have to do my incoming/outgoing to include with it. Should be fun!
OH is at an interview today so fingers crossed he gets that. One of the perks is free bus travel for him and a nominated person, i.e. ME so that's be good.
Got paid £200 a month extra this month, think it must be because they taxed me too much when I first started so that was a nice surprise! :T
Anyway just thought I would update you

Still waiting for the forms from all the benefits i've applied for.
Anyway just a little update

Thank you all for your replies

Don't worry I will NEVER let him quit a job again unless he has something else lined up. These last few months have been horrible
Once all the benefits are sorted and he's settled in work, going to try and sort something out with all our creditors. Wont be able to catch up properly but should be able to pay them something on a regular basis. Think happy & you'll be happy

Thought i'd change the title because it was a bit depressing wasn't it? Although I can't change the sad face :rotfl: Oh well

Just had another row with OH, I noticed he'd only made one payment to his credit card instead of two (he missed the 1st payment in Sept) and he literally has no money to catch up so he's going to keep getting £12 charges til he gets some money. It's the only responsibility he has, seriously I do everything to run this house and the one and only thing he has to do he can't do it, I made the second payment a couple of weeks ago but thought he'd already made the 1st. And then when I say something to him he gets so defensive and says he had no money but he had a few hundred pounds left from his overdraft back then. I know paying a credit card with an overdraft isn't very good but I couldn't afford to pay it for him.
Okay moan over now.
He's starting work on Monday thank god and luckily won't have any travel costs because he's working for a bus company so that's good.
I've been off sick for a few weeks with a bad back but i'm going back on a phased return on Monday :T Been getting very down staying at home all day...too much time to think about all our money problems!
I've been chasing the council, they said they sent me a letter over a week ago asking for more info but I haven't received it. I've got all the paperwork together that they need and i'm going to drop that in this afternoon.
I've been thinking I really need to buy some curtains for the living room, we didn't see them as a priority when we moved in but it's so cold at the moment and we can really feel it and we've been having the radiator and fire on so god knows how much that's costing us! It's a huge bay window though so going to have to get somebody to come and fit them I think. Hopefully we'll be able to do that when OH gets his first pay.
I'm going to sort all my Avon stuff out and see what I can use for xmas presents, i've already got a box with some things in that I got in the Jan sales. Need to see who we're going to have to buy something for. I've got £35 in boots vouchers that I got from doing surveys earlier in the year. We've told everybody that it's going to be small token presents this year. You know i'm actually glad that I don't have any debt available to me because I know if I did, i'd buy everybody something with that.
Anyway i'll stop waffling now!

Hi :hello:
I did the CCCS Debt Remedy today and they have suggested a DMP and also suggested what I should offer the water, tv license etc to try and catch up. My OH started work today so I have worked out his earnings from an online calculator. I'll let them know when he gets paid if it's much more/less.
We'll be paying £382 a month and be debt free in 3 years and 10 months but hopefully early next year my boyfriend will hear about another job he went for (already had an interview and medical, they messed up so it's been delayed big time) If he does get that, he'll be getting approx. £600 a month extra so we can pay it off A LOT quicker. I'm going to try a lot harder with the sales leadership side of Avon to try and earn extra money that way as well.
I feel quite relieved, just hope all our creditors will accept it. Do you think it would go in my favour that I've had most of these debts for years and have never defaulted until now?
Going to start keeping an eye on our shopping now, CCCS allowed £253 for all shopping, toileteries, cleaning stuff etc but we're going to try and keep shopping down to about £150, if not less, there's only two of us and one tiny hamster after all. I get all my toileteries out of Avon as well so save loads there.
Feeling quite excited now, if excited is the right word?
Really just feels like we might get somewhere with it all now, i've tried so many times in the past to get on top of our debts and it never works out but i'm feeling very positive this time :T
I also went back to work today, for a couple of hours anyway to ease me back in gently, so think that's making me feel a lot happier about everything.
So I am going to assume the first DMP payment will be 1st December and based on their calculations we should be debt free by......1st October 2012, (is this right, 3 years and 10 months? I feel thick :rotfl:) i'm going to go and update my sig. :T:heart: Think happy & you'll be happy
I :heart2: my doggies
