Protection if Endowment company goes belly up!

I have several endowments. What protection, if any, do I have if the company goes bankrupt?

If its conventional with profits then its 100% of first £2000 and 90% of rest with no upper limit.
If its unit linked then technically its the same but as the units are ringfenced away from the company assets (and invested into the underlying assets of the fund) then its not really an issue.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
