How To Get Through To Bt

i recently changed from bt to sky, bt have now sent me a final bill including £18 disconetion fee even though they told me at the time i wasnt on a contract ive been trying to get through to them but the automated voice keeps saying it dosent recognise my phone number and wont let me speak to anyone, does anyone know how i can call them thanks in advance

When I had problems re my bill wth BT they kept me holding for over half an hour at a time just to speak to someone. In the end I went through to sales- they pick up straight away normally and dealt with them. If it wont recognise your number have you tried using someone elses number just until you get through? Good luck

did what you said and used my daughters number and got straight thru and theyve agreed to waive the £18 so thanks very much
