in Credit cards
This may sound silly for most of you but i'm a newbie in cc. I only got one last year when i was 35 until then i always managed with my debit card. But now i'm a stay at home mum for the moment it has been helpful. But it's a barclaycard and the rate is SOOOO high about 19% i believe.. i owe about 500pounds up and down which i pay little bit every month but not regularly the same amount.. My question is should i get another card with a lower rate? knowing that i won't be paying off in full straight away.. and would i get another card without working? my credit rate is good .
thanks in advance for all your wise advice as usual.

You should be able to get a better rate - but probably not in your own name given that you are not working.
Could you ask your partner to open an account for you and then transfer the £500 ideally to a zero % offer.
That way you can hopefully pay the balance off much faster and avoid paying so much in interest.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.
