Cd plays on laptop but not cd player?

    When the disk is in the laptop, go into explorer and check what the files are called.

    If they have proper names instead of track01 etc then then disk has probably been burn't as a data disk and not and audio disk. It needs to be an audio disk for most normal Cd players to read it.

    Try the disk in a DVD player if she has one or a Playstation, if it plays
    in there but not the CD HiFi Player, well I reckon its the Player.

    If the CD-R was created using a piece of software like Roxio's Easy CD Creator, then make sure that the CD-R has been finalised.

    An unfinalised CD will only play on a computer or laptop, but not on a normal CD player. This is because, while it is unfinalised, you can still add or edit the tracks on the CD. Finalising the CD will complete the CD burning process and will enable it to be played on normal CD players.

    It was created using cubabase(sp?) as far as I know!
