i am really annoyed about this a feel that i would want to change my bank because of this, and make them wait for the charges as if my account is closed they can not charge me can they?
when i went on to the uswitch web site nation wide were coming up with the best current accounts
You would have to pay the charges prior to the account being closed. I think you need to read Martin's Guide to Reclaiming charges.0 -
DON'T do Alliance and leicester. I just transferred money out of my account immediately on receiving my account statement and miscalculated how much was in there (their statements are over a week out of date when they arrive). they didn't tell me and 5 days later I get a letter charging me £25 for the transaction and £5 per day for the overdraft (£226). That's after 20 years with them. guess they were just waiting for me to slip up like a vulture - rich pickings indeed!0
