Obtaining Discontinued Doors for MFI kitchen (still supplied by Howdens)

I have an existing MFI kitchen which is no longer in their showrooms, but is on the Howden's web site (Tenby).
I need to replace three doors due to wear and tear and wondered if anyone know of a supplier that will ship a small order like this as I believe Howdens will only deal with trade?
I am in East Sussex.
Thanks

Give Howdens a ring- they have an outlet here-in West Yorkshire so no good to you I'm afraid- but they do sell to the public so I am sure they will ship to you!
There's no harm in asking.....0 -
Hi
Not sure where in East Sussex you are but there are branches of hodens in Lewes, Uckfield and Eastbourne and I believe also in Newhaven.
My Oh and I have just bought our kitchen from howdens and we are not kithcen fitters. Best thing to do is go in and ask them
Regards

I went to my local Howdens a few weeks ago and they wouldn't even give me any prices let alone sell me anything. They said they were trade only and I should send my joiner to them.0 -

The thing is with Howdens is, as the posters have found, the lack of consistancy in the trade only policy. 5 years ago no one but a bona fide builder would get served in Howdens (some "retail" customers used to be physically removed from the premises) and this brought a huge loyalty to them from the trade as the builders discount was protected (as no retail customer could obtain the product except via MFI).
However Howdens depots are still under pressure to grow (despite greater competition and now in a declining market) and as a result some now take anyones money.
They have over 400 branches so if one refuses to serve you just keep looking around. I think if you are open with them about needing a few bits to complete your MFI kitchen they will serve you.0
