Traveling from Ireland -> France in a van And Beyond!
Hi ever1
First off id like to thank ever1 who reads this and especially those who offer advice
Ireland ->France
Im thinking of taking a trip around Europe in a caravan (actually a van converted) and the first step involves Getting from Ireland to France. Which would be the cheapest route? Ireland-> England -> France? Or mayby direct from Ireland -> France? Iv seen massive differences in prices, if anyone has any recomendations i would be very gratefull!
Our basic plan is a 2 month trip through holland, germany and so forth, with a hope to find somewhere along the way we like and work for a while to extend our trip. Funds are tight so we plan to rough it a little bit (basically living out of the van, hoping to find nice places to pull over and cook food on a barrel of gas and hotplate).
Is there any pitfall's i could be warned against?
Staying on the motorway just enough or not at all?
How maticulas should i be with the day-today planning of this journey, Im sure by going by my basic plan
e.g
1. Get to france
2. Drive to holland
3. Prague
4.Munich
e.c.t
i would be missing many-many excellent places along i have never heard of, so any advice where i could find nice places to visit along the way?
Any adice on the work side of things would also be much apreaciated. I know this is a very broad catagory but If something springs to mind i'd be apreaciative. So far were thinking of posibble labouring jobs in Holland/Germany (mayby amsterdam,munich/berlin). Were even debating street acts for spare cash along the way such as balloon making as a clown ect
So again guys
Cheers!!
