we want to rent somewhere snowy for Christmas

Hi guys
My family have been fantasising about forgetting presents this christmas and renting a chalet or lodge somewhere it'll snow (as much as that's reliable!). Definitely self-catering rather than a hotel, and for a few people (about 6). We're not sure where this would be cheapest (Iceland?!?!? Well - they've got to need the cash) or the most Christmas-y.
Any ideas???

Hi, I went to Finnish Lapland for Christmas 2 years ago, it was amazing. Knee Deep Snow and about as Christmassy as it gets! We went skiing most days and took trips on a Snow mobile to the Ice Hotel, Husky sleds etc It was an unforgettable action packed holiday. We stayed in a log cabin in the middle of the woods - perfect setting and the cabin even had a Sauna!
Its not the cheapest destination for christmas but well worth the extra pennies! Have a look at Inghams or Neilson they have better deals for 7 nights rather than a short break.
If you want to see pic's and a review of my Lapland holiday here is my Trip Advisor Review

North of Scotland

Bit late now cos they get booked up months in advance, but every other year we book a cottage in the middle of nowhere and hibernate for a week with a real fire and lots of snow

we went to finnish lapland a couple of years ago & it was brilliant but very very cold - minus 32 on the first morning! you can go husky sledging, reindeer sledging, snowmobiling or see Santa as well as sking both downhill & cross country. Alcohol is very expensive so if you have room after you have packed all the clothes you need take a wine box or 2 with you0
