how do i put documents on the web?

this may seem like a really dumb question but i have scanned three documents into my computer and stored them as .pdf
these are letters from the tax office and PAYE coding notices - i've cut out the personal identification info and resaved the scans. i was hoping to put them on some free webspace and then post in the tax forum for help and put a link to my webspace.
is this technically possible? or is it the wrong thing to do?
i just thought it would be easy when someone is offering their time to look at these to have them available somehow to look at.

Just link to the documents like an audio file..

Insert the documents to the top folder and do a text link to the document.

Of course it's possible. You just need an ftp client like the free SmartFTP (or you could use Windows Explorer) to upload the PDF files to your webspace and then you can link to them in your forum post.
