Paint spraying interior of a house

We're renovating a largish house that has just been completely re-plastered (ceilings and walls). So obviously we now have a lot of painting to do.

Does anyone have any recommendations on the best way to paint such a large area? I've read snippets about paint spraying and wondered if anyone give me more info on whether this would work, which paint we could use, where to get the sprayer from etc.

Any help appreciated!
Thanks

ive used a spray gun on industrial premises but never on domestic houses.
i think the work involved in masking up etc.. would be too much. the overspray is pretty bad too.
probably better to get some rollers and long sticks. plenty of helpers and it can be done in a few days.
    ps.
you can hire all the equipment from HSS hire shops. a spray gun is about 50 quid for the weekend. they will tell you what type of paint you can/cannot use.
    Get some gorm.

With that much to do try and think like a professional and plan your work accordingly - think how can you get this done in the least time.

    Get yourself:

A trestle system set up so you can walk from one side of a wall to the other whilst cutting in.
A "Harris paint scuttle" - bucket come roller tray will hold up to 10 litres paint.
A roller frame with telescopic pole handle.
12 inch wide rollers - preferably good quality sheepskin for less spatter.
As wide as you can manage paint brush for the corners etc.

And use good quality "trade" paints for good coverage - if you want fancy smanchzy paints you can always use these for just the top coats.

    youre welcome.
    btw.
SIL and the family, painted an industrial unit recently, with rollers and sticks. huge area 5000 sq ft. they did it in 2 days.
4 or 5 painters. it varied at times.
(mostly 2 coats. 3 coats in places).

I've worked with sprays on newbuilds in Oz. We used to paint 3 houses inside completely every 3 days. The boss would spray ceilings white, up to about 4" of the edge. 4 of us would be literally running to cut it all in. We'd do all the ceilings in 3 houses 1 coat, change emulsion colour for the walls and run round them next. I've never painted so much in so little time, but never done it back home here.
I'd say its a lot of hassle for 1 house though. ALright when theyre brand new.

Go with the rollers if your happy with a roller finish as above posts. Put a miscoat on the bare plaster first (a very watered down mix of emulsion) then 2 coats of decent trade emulsion (or 3 coats of B&Q or similar!). It'll look awesome in no time....!
