It may interest some carers here who are in receipt of CA and IS.

Attention please all carers. This means ANYONE who cares for a relative, spouse, or friend or neighbour for ANY length of time during the week.
The word carer does not mean only people on benefits.
So what? Check your local phone book for the nearest carers centre. These are charities operating as part of the Princess Royal Trust for carers.
Sounds pretty intimidating but these people do wonderful work just to benefit carers.
They can advise on your rights and entitlements as a carer, can provide days out for you, massage and alternative therapies and a wide range of free services including newsletters, advocacy and a willingness to counsel and listen.
Dont neglect this charity - it is free and the more people who sign up, the more who will benefit.
Please call them. You wont regret it.Keep trying.........................what else is there to do?
