Is there an alternative to Domestic and General? They seem to be a monopoly! Are their prices fair?

If you want to cover 3 or more items - if you REALLY think it's worth it....

the best alternative is not to pay for any extended warranty.

I never insure insure anything I can afford the risk on myself. Domestic appliances, extended warranties, lost credit cards etc etc. I must have saved hundreds over the years and still not had to pay out.Signature on holiday for two weeks0

Save the premium and put it into a special account ear marked for repair/ replacements only. If push came to shove, and you could not afford to replace a faulty item with new, you can always buy a second hand one very cheaply. I agree entirely with the reply by Mutton Geoff.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0
