Removing name from Barclays account

Help needed please......

I have a joint account with my partner with Barclays Bank. It was originally my partners account. I had my name added to the current acount over three years ago. Now as the relationship has dissolved i wish to have my name removed.

The overdraft is in his name and always has been. I am having my finances redirected to come out of my own account now.

Any help or ideas welcome, i need to resolve this a quickly as i can.

Sorry, but the overdraft is in both your names if it's on a joint account. You are jointly liable for the overdraft.

What you can do, however, is visit a branch and ask to be removed from the account. You do not need his permission or presence to do this.

Thank you, i'll give it ago and see what they say. The overdraft will be clear tomorrow as he gets paid.
