Video cameras on ebay

Hi,

I'm skint but really want a video camera and have seen some really cheap ones on ebay. I've never bought a video camera before. What should I be aware of if considering buying a used one?

Have a look at the Canon outlet on Ebay. They sell recon cameras, good as new, with full guarantee, etc., at very good prices. Worth a look, or alternatively, trawl around the big shops like Currys, etc., as there seem to be bargains to be had on new ones which are, perhaps, last years model, but still perfectly good. Second hand hardly seems worth taking a chance, really.

Well what do you want it for? Also, would you be wanting to film on Tape of digital?
If you record on tape, then you need to capture everything you have recorded onto your computer to edit it, but the qualityies far superiour. Otherwise you can get a 'cheap' one, which I guess is what you've been finding, and it records onto a memory stick. Usually the quality of these is poor, but easy to transfer onto your computer.

I've been looking at Tape Camcorders too on eBay, should be able to get a decent one for £40-50
