in Credit cards
this is gonna sound a really really silly question... my dad applied for a 0% on purchases credit card (sainsburys) with me as an additional cardholder so that i could purchase the things i needed for my house when i moved out in august. Only i put purchases on the card and i pay it off......but up to now ive been giving my parents the cash to pay off with a cheque from their own account. Thinking as the statement comes to my dad.. he has to be the one to pay.
But im wondering would it be possible for me to send a cheque off or pay through my online banking etc.. does it matter who pays the credit card bill as long as it gets paid?
Just make things simpler.

I have helped my sister out in the past and there has never been any problem with me paying various credit card debts for her.
The easiest way I have found is to use internet banking. You just need the account details.
It has been more problematic over the phone.
I would have thought as you are an additional card holder it should be easy.
Why not give the company a ring and ask.
In my experience they are happy to discuss ways of getting their money back.0 -
There's no such thing as a silly question...
No, it doesn't matter who pays, or what method. I often pay my boyfriend's balance, and vice versa, using cheques or online banking.0 -
