>:(Couple days ago got e-mail offering BT Yahoo broadband for 15.99 a month until may 2005, cool thought i will go for this.
tired to set it up online and failed, phoned helpline number (0845) booo. They eventually said they would sort it out for me starting 27th free modem on way says they.
Get e-mail saying bt internet direct debit set up so think all is well (foolishly)
Come today, whistling postie, no bloody modem
Phoned said BT and entered the 7th circle of hell
12 people, 5 telephone numbers, 12 telling of my sad tale and 93 renditions of Grieg (on hold music) later they denied all knowledge, passed me from person to person like pass the parcel except the bloody grieg never stopped, so after getting assurances that they would phone me after 3pm gave up (time taken 3 hours)

no phone call after 3 waited till 5 started again. 1st 3 people again denied all knowledge yada yada yada

finally found a guy said he would check it
said that order had been placed but blocked by BT error

promised resolution by monday
will let you know. ???

Hang on in there, I've got BT Broadband and it is excellent.

It is a nightmare having to phone BT though, all that "press 1 for this" nonsense!

Yeah if the offer wasnt so good i'd have told themto stick it.
Have to be reasonable the guy i talked to last seemed very switched on and i think he will sort it out
but the call centre shuffle really got on my nerves

you'd b better getting the tesco one a little bit more expensive but you get to talk to someone a lot quicker its £19.99 a month for unlimited 512k with free modem
