Hello.
I have a movie on my PC that i want to put on DVD to watch on my DVD player. The length of the movie is 2 hours 31 mins but I can only burn 2 hours and 30 mins on the dvd. Is there anyway of cutting out that 1 minute or compressing it to fit?

Using what software??
Ive never heard of time limits (well, without hitting 4 hours or so)
What format is it in? VOB files?
If so use IMAGE BURN to burn it
If it really does need compressing then 'dvd shrink' will do it
(Both programs legit and free on the net):idea:0 -

right click on the avi file and see how big it is. If it's over 4.4gb, the problem is the file is too big for a standard dvd.
If it is less, your burning program may be trying to convert it to a dvd and running over the 4.4gb.
And yes, there is free software that can trim avi.
However, the way i get avi to dvd, is TMPGENC 2.5 (avi-mpg) then TMPGENC dvd author (mpg - dvd). There are one click programs out there though.0
