spam,help needed

im being spammed something rotten and i dont know how to stop them,ive recieved 1000s over the last few weeks, they seem to be coming from canada or the states,offering me cheap medical supplies amongst other things, obviously ive never opened any theyre just damn annoying, today was the 1st time id logged on for 4-5 days and there were 485 e-mails in my spam folder, any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Personally I'd think about getting new email addresses (I'm guessing you're only using the one your ISP gave you or something like only one hotmail address). Use one to give to friends and then one or more to companies, website logins etc. I give every company a unique address in fact (well over 300 now) and those company email addresses get zero spam without any filtering.

If it is an OE address, I have been using a freebie product called "Spamfighter" seems to work well for me.
