Lloyds regular savings accounts

Just over 2 years ago Lloyds TSB made new 'regular savers' accounts available to existing customers, with an interest rate fixed for 2 years at 8%. On the 2nd anniversary the accounts are "redesignated" as 'Easysaver' accounts and the interest rate from then on is 3%.

Anyone who opened such an account should check when the second anniversary is. It's possible at present to get more than double the 'Easysaver' rate, so don't let LTSB catch you napping!

Yes, a timely reminder.

Mine's just matured, the money's on its way out of Lloyds, and I'm sitting in front of my letter asking to close the account.

More importantly, remember to cancel the open-ended Standing Order which was usually set up to feed funds into the Monthly Saver account.

my monthly saver finished in August and i transferred it to an internet account till i decided what to do with it.i didn't know owt abt having to cancel the SO but as soon as i noticed the next month i rang up and cancelled
