My boiler a Potterton Puma 80 is also on the blink, and I have been advised a Viessman Vitodens 200 is probably the best Gas Combi Condeser boiler you can get - They claim in 20 years they have never had a failure from Exchange Corrosion and give it a 10 year warranty on the Exchange.
Any one have a view on the the Viessman? My Mind wanders, if found please return.0 -
I wonder if your plumber gets a free T-shirt from the manufacturer for buying one of these?

I have to say that I know very little about these particular boilers, other than that their selling point is indeed their steel heat exchangers. It's very difficult to assess a boiler based on one aspect, it's not much good having the best heat exchanger if the fan packs up every two years, for example. Get as much information about other aspects of their boilers before making a decision.
I have in the past made decisions based on similar outstanding aspects of a boiler, only to regret it on the basis of other aspects.0
