MINT E-mails

OK, I freely admit I'm an idiot. But I'd appreciate it if someone could help me anyway! :xmassmile
I applied for a mint card, sent the application forms back last week.
I was going through the junk email of my hotmail and 'emptied' it. Whilst the junk folder was being emptied, I spotted an email entitled 'MINT'. Unfortunately, I wasn't quick enough to stop the email from being deleted.
Can anyone remember whether their first email from MINT was important, or if it was ordinary spam?
Thanks.
Sheepish.

I would've thought it was a junk email offering yet more credit!
If you don't hear from them soon about a decision. A quick phone call to mint asking if you've been accepted for a card won't hurt.
