it does nothing it won't charge at all and we got a new AC adaptor in june (when it was still under the warranty)!! so not sure if it's just that or the battery or the laptop it's self thats not working
If Currys did supply it and the same problem has appeared again then they have not affected the repair correctly and you should explain this to Currys as they must have guarantee period on their repairs.0 -

Nothing, no lights at all, no noises from the laptop, no drives starting up, dead screen.
No power getting to it.
1st check the fuse in the mains plug.
If the power adaptor was obtained from a store, take the laptop to the store and ask them to plug a new adpaptor in to check whether it is their adaptor that has failed, and they can verify if your adaptor is working or not.0 -
After changing the fuse in the mains plug, try jiggling the power connector about in the back of the laptop (or the side if it's on the side). Watch the battery charge light (will probably be somewhere next to the power indicator light) and see if it turns on at all. Hold the power connector gently to the right, left, up and down once it's plugged in and see if you can get the battery charge light coming on in any of those positions. If so you probably have a loose power jack to the motherboard, can be easily replaced.0

Remove the battery and power supply
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
Reconnect the battery and Power Supply
Try to turn it on0
