Cheap kitchen units??

Hello
We're looking for a short term solution for our kitchen (hopefully no longer than a year). We are looking at buying 2 or 3 wall units and possibly 1 base unit, then fitting these ourselves. To be honest am not at all bothered what they look like but would like them to have doors.
We were looking at Ikeas units, they are the cheapest we have found so far. Does anyone have any suggestions of where else to check out prices for just a couple of units rather than a complete kitchen??
Thanks
Em

If they need to match existing cupboards then Ikea won't match as they are not standard UK sizes, if you only need these units then the Ikea ones are fine.
Otherwise, try B&Q, Focus etc. There may be units available on ebay or freecycle etc.?0 -
Forgot to say they don't need to match anything, we are getting rid of the 2 we have already cos they are a really bad shape (very tall and thin)0

I'd try freecycle as people get rid of perfectly good kitchens all the time so there is probably a good chance of getting a few units.0

wickes, ikea and BQ are probably the cheapest places.

ie wall & base units from 21/22 quid.Get some gorm.0 -
Thanks for the tip, we're def gonna check out Wickes.
Have tried freecycle and ebay but no luck so far - I think its cos we only want a couple but most people want rid of whole kitchen (which is obv worth more)0 -
keencost are very good for cheap trade priced kitchens, they have branches in Doncaster, Leeds, Gateshead & Wakefield. You can buy as much/little as you wish and they'll even supply the carcases ready assembled from stock if you wish.
website is www.keencost.co.uk
we got ours from there (they even do appliances also), was v. happy with service, quality & cost etc. - found them to be much cheaper than b&q wickes etc.0
