I have a plan for this week, can anyone spot a flaw (before i embarass myself!)
I want to get 342 No7 £6.50 face scrub & gwp. I have a 1/2 price No7 voucher and the ts/pinkie combo.
Should i get all this for "free"? (sa willing!) I work it out to be £9.75 total.
1.Would you recommend buying other items to make it less obvious?
2.Is the 3x 6.50 total of 19.50 correct for the gwp or does it go on the final till price?
The gwp will go through fine as it is on the total of £19.50, not the final till price.
It should work out that it owes you £6.75 (if the No7 1/2 price works on all 3 items) so I would definitely cover it up with other items if I was you.

EDIT Sorry Skibster your reply wasnt there until after I posted mine0 -
can somebody explain what is a pinkie? what is a till split? and i presume a glossy is one of the vouchers they give you at the checkout.0

Yes - it was a good experience for me!
I didn't have much time and had lined up my transactions :rotfl: 4 seperate transactions for the FCUK bags, with voucher - got TS for each one.
Went back around got 2 sets of the men's no7 with GWP and used the PC £5 off £20 and a pinkie. The PC ones scanned, but then needed the SA to override, which she duly did twice! (in two transactions) without batting an eyelid, I had added just enough to each of those baskets to gain a further tillspit.
One happy Bootser that day!

Hello, experienced Bootsers! Please may I pick your brains a moment?
I (rather stupidly) bought two of the Face eyeshadow palettes last week at my local Boots Christmas shopping evening. I didn't do terribly well on extra points and value for money as I was tired and stressed at the time .... I bought the two eyeshadow boxes at £30 each, plus a No7 Men's gift box (the one with the shaving balm and manicure set in) for £16. This cost me a total of £60 plus I got the GWP of the men's No7 travel set.
I got the extra 1000 points for spending over £50 at the Xmas evening, plus an extra 350 points for spending over £35 from the ACM.
Of course, now I realise that the eyeshadow sets are reduced to £15 each this week. What should I do? What would YOU do?
Should I try taking back the whole lot and asking for a refund, then go to a different till and buy the items back again at the cheaper price (and hope I don't lose the bonus points I earned at the Xmas evening)?

Thanks very much for the help. I'll be getting myself sorted out this week then. I enjoyed stocking up on TD with the last ts that i was hoping something else would come along before xmas.
So many times i look at all the vouchers, offers and extras from boots that i look at them and know there is a good deal. But it takes my brain about a fortnight to work it out! Maybe i should come straight here and ask.NO RAIN - NO RAINBOWS
When did i stop being able to fit Hoola-Hoops over my fingers?:think:0 -
If you have your receipt they will have to refund you the FULL price for them, then you can repurchase them at the cheaper price. Nothing wrong with that........"Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0

Although, be prepared for them to say no to any sort of return as I've just realised it would be classed as cosmetics....."Buy me, Lady", said the frock, "and I will make you into a BEAUTIFUL & WHOLE & COMPLETE human being"."Do not be silly", said the Man, "for a frock alone cannot do that"."True", said the Lady, "I will have the shoes and the bag as well".:rotfl:0

I wondered if that was the case as the same happened to me when I used the 1/2 price baby expert voucher on several packs of baby wipes. Thats why I said in my reply "if it works on all 3".
Shame though isnt it?0 -
Hi CJ,
If I were you I would definitely return all 3 items with a receipt and ask for a refund. If all goes to plan, you will get a helpful SA who will simply reimburse you.
I was in a similar situation a couple of years ago when I bought 3 R&M big make up sets that were then reduced to half price the following week. I returned them to the store with my receipt, and got around any problems regarding non-returnable cosmetics by simply explaining I wanted to re-purchase the 3 very same items, just at the reduced price.
You should have no problems and the £30 difference is definitely worth having! Not sure what would happen with your points- may be worth printing out an ACM total spend to take with you as if they do deduct the points from the first transcation, you can at least get some back on total spend for the second transaction. Even if you lose the £10 of bonus points, you will have £30 more cash in your pocket so it is still very much so worth doing.
