I may have dreamt this (I'm not the only one who dreams of Bootsing, am I?!!) but I think a couple of days ago, some brilliant person posted a list of cheap suggestions for men/boy pressies to get on the 3for2/R&M glitch - things like remote control mini for £7 but I can't remember what else and I don't know how to search for previous posts - does anyone remember the info?

Also, a few people have posted that they've bought a FCUK set for £5 as part of the mirror deal - is this male/female - has anyone got any info on this?

Trying to decide what is best to buy - choccies (!!!) or toiletries or small gadgets.....
    TIA,
    Clare

Hi Clare, I think this is the fcuk set

I saw that you already bought your items, so I'll leave this here as suggestions for gifts for men who don't want skincare/haircare items:

-Simpsons mug/keychain/coaster is £6 (already gave one to hubby, who loves it & took it to work!)
    -various other Simpsons items available
    -keychain/voice recorder at £5 or £6 I think
-the mini cooper remote controlled car at £7 (I showed my husband one I bought for a child, though I already had one hidden away for him -- his eyes lit up and he said he'd like one too, lol, so this appeals to all ages!)
-various gifts of beer or whiskey are in the £6-8 range (note: thanks to Tiara for pointing out that if you buy this on SS tills, someone has to come verify your age)
    -chocolate is unisex. ;)

Broclo has also done a list:

ROC giftbags were being given out yesterday in Trafford Centre if you signed up for an AC or to the health club, nice lady gave me one anyway :D

Saw the R&M half price offer and wasn't that impressed with it, so will not be partaking this week.

Quite annoyed with OH though, I was thinking about buying the FCUK tin on last weeks offer, but hes a bit of a label snob (unlike me Miss Primark!!) and I thought he probably wouldn't wear the scarf or use the wallet as it was "free with some smellies" (you know rather than £25 each from the FCUK shop  (the way his mind works?!)) Anyway in Boots yesterday, he singles out the tin and says that looks good i need a new scarf and wallet, can i have this for xmas :eek::eek::rolleyes:

I'm absolutely loathed to buy it for full price when it was £25 (and 342) last week!! so I'm considering saying NO!! :rotfl:

On an OT point (sorry) I would be so so so so so grateful if anyone could tell me if I should wear tights or not with a dress tonight - is it an unwritten winter law that I have to wear tights or can I go bear legged with a fake tan? what is winter leg etiquette? I'm in my 20's and the dress I'm wearing is summery so is going to look weird with tights but its blooming freezing - sorry to ask here, but I've got no one else to ask :(:o

I rarely wear dresses or skirts but would wear tights if I did, its been freezing this week. Do you have any nude ones as they are barely noticable.

Thanks for the replies re: tights! I've put loads of weight on recently so feeling totally self concious next to all the other WAGs that are typically at these parties (they arent really WAGs they just have the money and bodies to be mistaken for them - unlike me!!) I think I'm going to tan my legs and see what that turns out like if good then bare legs, if not good then tights ahoy!! I just know my mum will arive home and go "what are you doing in tights with a summer dress" (in the same way that you can't wear white in the winter or yellow apparently?! then I'll panic and go "argh ive got nothing to wear" !! :) Edit: no nude tights I think they look wrong as I usually go for the shiny ones by accident or orange ones!! oops!

Anyway - I'll move away from tight-gate now :) I'm gutted, I totally forgot to womble yesterday in the Traff Centre!! My OH is a bad distraction when shopping :p;)

Does anyone else mentally calculate the Boots xmas gifts at 75% off price in anticipation of 75% sale day? I was looking at the accesorize stuff yesterday going "hmm whats a quarter of £25" :D can't wait!

:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

  • i have a fcuk premium set to take back to boots unfortuately cant find my receipt. Will they give me £50 back or £25 with it being on offer 2 weeks ago.

my 2 daughters went out last nite with dresses on and they had put fake tan on there legs ,,they always ask me how they look and they were stunning ,,
so bare legs r better as a fake tan gives a nice glow x [go 4 fake tan ]
