    Hi!

Thought I would share this with you all in case someone else can get this! Sorry if it's already been mentioned but I don't have the time to read back through.

I put in an online order about a month ago when there was the 3 for 1 glitch and got 1900 points on it which I got when I put my card in the advantage machine a couple of weeks ago.......anyway not been to boots since and when I put my card in the machine yesterday to see the offers imagine my Suprise & Delight!! :D when it came up with the message adding 1900 point from .com again (I only put in one order - which I had definitely received my points for!!) Can't imagine the system will pick this error up - so thank you very much mr boots!!

So basically if you have done an online order recently and not used the advantage card machine much have a go!! Really hope it happens to someone else ;)

Happened to me about a week ago - only 68 points though, boo! xx
    My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |

Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.
  • Did my big Christmas shop today using my points.
    1st transaction
2x aqua art £20 each and one kid's dressing gown £13( all free)

Then realised I needed another 15 points to do my next 3 for 2 so had to go shopping.

    2nd transaction
1 pack of pampers nappies £5.99
    1 free changing bag
    1 children's vitamins £4.99

Used 100 points vitamin coupon, £1 off Pampers and £2 off pampers so £7.98
Got 100 free points plus two till spits as someone had left one behind on ss tills!

Then did 3 transactions with lovely SA
    1 R and M mirror £6
    1 lip gloss set £6
    1 choc gift set £6
    All free with points
1 No 7 wipes £4.50 so £1.50 with till spit
    then 2 x pantene stuff ( BOGOF) £2.99 each
    2x cotton wool ( 2 for £2) should have been about £3
    1 R and M brush and pouch £8

Used £1 off Pantene and till spit so cost £7.98 and got another till spit which I'm saving for another R and M mirror as they had none left!

Should have come to £102.50 ( even more if you count changing bag)
I spent £17.50! I've only got £1.50 left on my card but that's 7 presents bought, some cheap nappies for my niece, clean hair and face and a changing bag to give to a charity shop!
    I love Boots!

Need to buy 2 blokes pressies ...

I saw that you already bought your items, so I'll leave this here as suggestions for gifts for men who don't want skincare/haircare items:

-Simpsons mug/keychain/coaster is £6 (already gave one to hubby, who loves it & took it to work!)
    -various other Simpsons items available
    -keychain/voice recorder at £5 or £6 I think
-the mini cooper remote controlled car at £7 (I showed my husband one I bought for a child, though I already had one hidden away for him -- his eyes lit up and he said he'd like one too, lol, so this appeals to all ages!)
-various gifts of beer or whiskey are in the £6-8 range (note: thanks to Tiara for pointing out that if you buy this on SS tills, someone has to come verify your age)
    -chocolate is unisex. ;)
  • Right, I'm all set to go to Westfield tomorrow, which I will assume has self service tills (worked out what ss means!).

I thought R & M was some sort of variation on S & M, but after reading most of the 82 pages (yawn!), I see it's Ruby and Miller.

So, could you please explain to a thick and slow OAP exactly what I have to do please? Is it:

    1. Find an R & M mirror, plus 2 other items marked 3 for 2, one of which must cost less than £5

    2. Put the mirror through first, and the £5 or less item last

    3. Insert the pinkie

    4. Brace onself in case the Pinkie Police march over to arrest you

    5. Pay the (very small) balance

Is that right? And what's a GWP? Can't work that out! Thanks a lot

Loads of mirrors and brushes in Speke Polly. Not on RM stand, with cosmetics christmas gifts.

I got the last mirror this morning, although there were a few brushes left.

    Hi Skibster :hello:
I bought one of the beer gift sets on the SS tills and it flashed up for SA approval. Had to wait for someone to come over, and they asked to see ID. They then had to enter my d.o.b. into the self scan machine! When that was all done though, he wandered off and left me to use my vouchers in peace! :D

No guys I know really want skincare or haircare stuff, so there are other options (remember only one of your two extra items has to be £6 or less, the other can be more): Simpsons mug/keychain/coaster is £6, various other Simpsons items available, then there are things like the keychain/voice recorder at £5 or £6 I think, the mini cooper remote controlled car at £7 (I showed my husband one I bought for a child, though I already had one hidden away for him -- his eyes lit up and he said he'd like one too, lol, so this appeals to all ages!), various gifts of beer or whiskey are in the £6-8 range (but if you buy them at SS tills, does an SA have to verify you are of age to buy?????), and chocolate is unisex. ;)

From today the system will record all those who use more than one mitchum coupon in one transaction and cards will be flagged which could result in cards history being looked into, so if you do not want your card to be looked into then skip the mitchum vouchers ;)

    Thanks for the heads up!

For those intent on continuing to use the Mitchum vouchers, you could always leave your ad card in your purse and say you left it at home if an SA asks! It might be safer to not try at all though, as it looks like you could be drawing negative attention to yourself with these vouchers.

Hi made a 'special' effort today and had a nice shoppin trip with jess today. She got up feeling good, and wasn't in too much pain with her back, spine op is going sooo well now - shes taller than me:j :j

Went in and did the 3 4 2 on gifts, r & m mirror, n17 lipgloss set and simpsons mug set - gave a pinkie but SA said NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

We smiled sweetly and said pleeaaaaase try, so she did and was like really suprised when it came up with £7 to pay and made a note of the transaction.ALARM BELLS!!!!! She made a note to remind herself to get the same, she was really impressed with the bargain lol:rotfl:

We popped of to get another R & M mirror, manicure set and simpson mug, came to £7 again...... guess what she did, made another note for herself.

She then said i hope you know that all day friday, saturday and sunday theres a 1000 points on a £50 spend on ANYTHING in the store. Might help someone on here, not me as i dont have £50:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

THE DEAL OF THE WEEK IS GOING TO BE

R & M red vanity thingy thats £50 but but will be £25........ wonder if you could use a pinkie on it........... im thinking im thinking.......Who will try it first???????
