Internet reconnects itself constantly?

Hi can someone help please the last couple of days as soon as we disconnect the internet within a few seconds it redials itself and reconnects.

OH tried tonight and can't seem to find why its started doing it.

Please excuse my dumbness, but I don't know if its connected, but showing in the web address box when he looks at internet explorer 7 page is

http://runonce.msn.com/runonce3.aspx

This for some reason this then became our homepage As you can see i'm not technical so any help appreciated thank you x As well as it being a pain i'm worried its a bug or something.

What was the homepage before this happened, you done a virus scan and updated firewall, anti virus, how is it you connect to the internet

As above, do a virus and an antispyware scan. Just to clear up any misunderstanding are you on dial up or broadband, and what kind of modem or router are you using?

The worries here are that you are dialing a long distance call to automatically to the 'net.
So to help us your use of the word "redials" is a tech. term and confusing some of us. A modem conected to the telephone socket would redial where as a broadband (BB) service is always on, however the BB is also called a modem/router. As to the redialing how do you connect and via what service (ISP) or cable?

The runonce to msn is just a configuration setup for new users for that site as a home page, you can reset a homepage to anything you want.

I've called OH and bear with us as not very technical..

With orange broad band, with speedtouch connection 2 megabyte. We have been with them 10 years plus when they were freeserve dial up, when we changed over to broadband our internet was never always open we still have to connect and disconnect.

I've sorted runonce and orange is back to our homepage, ran some spyware stuff last night ewido & avg, nothing showed.
