Changing Google Mail User Name

I've taken the advice of other MSE'ers and have signed up for a Google Mail Account (moving from BT Premium Mail @ £1.50 a month.)

I've chosen my e-mail address and registered. However, I have put in the wrong user name and now want to change it. How can I do this? Am I stuck with what I originally chose?

When I say user name I mean the name that shows up when I send an e-mail to someone.

Seems you cant change it once you create it so better make a new one

Do you mean you put in your real name wrong - the one people will see when they get the e-mail?

Click settings

Accounts

Top line in that will say 'Send Mail As' - click edit info

Then it's straightforward
