Paypal Holding Funds - Should I just sit and wait?
Comments

It's refreshing to see someone confident enough in their product and service to relax about the 21 day hold, and treat it in the spirit PP intended

OP, if feedback is left, and the money isn't released immediately, apparently refunding the buyer a few pennies will release the funds to you. (It's a current glitch)My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Not entirely, if someone wants a refund and claims under the A - Z rules for any reason they get their money back..some of the seller stories are quite frightening.
OP, have you added the tracking number to your paypal transaction..I just wondered if it might help to show it tracks to delivery.
I have never heard of any problems with Amazon selling, just loads from ebay. I always felt safer selling on Amazon than ebay for that reason. So thats shocked me a bit.No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

It's the same with any large company you only hear the bad side never the good. If you go and read the seller boards on Amazon they are full of tales of woe, getting suspended through Amazon glitches in the system, fake chargebacks, swapped items scam emails. Everything ebay has Amazon has too, it's just that there are few sellers on there (at the moment).
I had negative feedback (1*) once for sending out a second hand book which was clearly described as an acceptable only used copy. The buyer had assumed that she was buying from Amazon and would get a new book, even though she had clicked through several screens and chosen my copy from several listed. Amazon removed it for me on the basis it clearly stated that she was negging me for supplying a used book..however Amazon policy has changed and they will no longer remove unwarranted negs like that anymore. Likewsie there are oodles of threads where people have been given negs for overcharging p and p when it is Amazon themselves that set the £2.75 postage allowance..
Oh yes and th enew worrying one where you list somehting and then someone else changes the catalogue entry and you sell the wrong book or can't supply the book and get negged. This is because pro sellers can change the Amazon catalogue so you might list a maeve Binchy book but the catalogue details gets changed by someone else to an Enid Blyton book and you don't know until you sell it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I asked a buyer to pay via an alternative paypal account which they did then i posted the item.
A good solution for a seller to get their payment, but wonder if the buyer (if it was an ebay purchase) would realise that by paying to an alternative paypal account they would have lost their paypal buyer protection0 -
Thanks for all the replies. The buyer did finally leave me positive feedback last night, now I just need to wait for Paypal to release the funds! Any way I can contact them if they do not do so soon?0
