*Form filling software*

I'm looking for a good form filling software that doesn't come with loads of spy/adware.

*Please move if post is in wrong forum, but this seems like the best place*

Since joining this site I've been doing tons of form filling and want to re-install a good programme (have used roboform previously)

Any help much appreciated :xmassmile

Try downloading and using the Google toolbar (http://toolbar.google.co.uk/) It has a great AutoFill feature, which will attempt to fill everything it can.

  • Assuming that you're using Internet Explorer, you can use Roboform. As well as form-filling, you can use this to store site passwords and even Credit Card details under passwrod-protected identities. It is free for storing up to 15 site passwords, but you'll need to pay for more.

Yes, this is a good idea, but I would not recommend storing anything Credit Card, Bank Account related on the computer, as some forms of spyware could get around the Password protection. I recommend that you just find your Credit Card each time you are purchasing something from the Internet and input the number every time into the website.

  • Yes, someone could design some roboform spyware to break into my PC bypassing all my security, work out that I'm using roboform, log my password, break into roboform and then send my credit card details.

However, you are much more likely to get killed or seriously injured next time you go out on the road. Does that mean you shouldn't go out on the road? Knowing that there is a risk, and understanding the likelihood and consequences are 2 different things.

Its the same with diseases: people in Africa are many times more likely to die from malaria or malnutrition than from AIDS. People in Britain are many times more likely to die from smoking than MRSA or vCJD. People focus on the lower risk without realising.

Edit: Wow - this post got a bit heavy, but it is something about which I feel strongly

    Thanks guys.

    I use firefox, though.

I also find google autofill rubbish to be honest. I found a good alternative called InFormEnter works great!

    Thanks again.

I've never used the program and I never will. I rather fill in each form as I come to it. That way, I know I have filled it in correctly, and my house number isn't in the postcode box etc.
