Cloakroom basin

I'm trying to find a nice basin for our downstairs WC. The basin it's replacing is 460mm wide and 280mm deep. Due to the width of the room and the door being on the narrow wall, the deepest we could go is 300mm as we need to walk past the basin to get to the WC.
I like the Ceramica Sail rectangular basin, saw it on Plumbworld's site the other day but it's disappeared now and I can't find it anywhere else. I think a rectangular one will look better with the tiles we have bought.
Anyway, my question is:
Apparently, OH says we can't have a P-trap as the waste pipe from the basin has to go down to the floor and run along the wall as it is at present. I don't think a small pedestal basin will look right. Can anyone suggest a nice neat way of hiding the pipework?
