I Run windows 2000 on a Tesco broadband connection, each time I open a new page it takes ages to open... My connection speed is 512Kb... Have checked with Tesco and they seem to think everythings ok..................HELP!!! :mad: :mad:

    Ok have you tried https://www.ccleaner.com to clear out crap.

    Also try, Tools, Internt Options, Programs reset web settings, take out tick of reset home page then OK/Yes. Clos web browser IE (if using)

    ok try turning off your internal dial up modem if you have one, go to control panel and switch it off there.

    can't give you instructions because im on work computer and they don't have control panel on it (can someone else help).

    also this might sound really silly - but empty your home phone of all voice mail - i have been told this slows down connection speed i.e. when i first got Bband on my windows ME system it wouldn't even connect because i had to many messages in my inbox!

    Speedtouch 330 USB modem, plugs into phoneline. :eek:
