in Credit cards
Hello anyone who may be able to answer this question for me?!
I'm starting a new job on monday (earning 16300 pa). I'm looking to transfer some balances from my overdraft and another credit card totalling about 4k.
What kind of balance could i get on a credit card if I were to be accepted for one? (I haven't applied for credit in a year, I did go over my overdraft limit tho last april, apart from that my credit rating is ok, i have put myself on the electoral role).
Does anybody know which company might be likely to accept me and give me a balance that large? If i'm wasting my time in applying then i'd like to know before i ruin my credit history again!
Thanks

It helps to have been in employment for a while, but so long as you have an income and a good rating you should be accepted. You can't transfer an overdraft unless you use some sort of super balance transfer facility - you can only transfer normally from other credit cards.0

EGG are doing balance transfers on overdrafts right now, with 0% till June 2006. Also 0% on new purchases.
There is a 2% transfer fee though, max £40 it says.0
