I have Kingston Communications as my supplier-how can I cut my bills??

Hi, my only option (I think) is to have kingston communications as my phone supplier (apparently they have different wiring that makes it uneconomic for BT etc. to enter the area)
My phone call costs are okish but I'm spending over £40 a month for dial up internet.
KC. does have its own service, but it is unreliable and slow. Does anyone have any knowledge of a cheaper loophole I can use??
Many thanks :santa2:

All dial up internet is slow (I didn't realise how slow until BB came to my village a year ago).bobsa1 wrote:My phone call costs are okish but I'm spending over £40 a month for dial up internet.
It sounds like you're paying on a per minute basis - you need to change to an unlimited access package like OneTel's @ £13.99. That's what I used to have and, although the 2 hour cutoff was annoying at times, at least I knew how much it was going to cost me each month.
I thought KC were obliged, like BT is outside Hull, to allow CPS. If so, surely you can opt for a service like OneTel?Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
hi, you'be be better switching to KC's Broadband tariff! we pay 24.99 for broadband, much better than dial up and unlimited use!
You can use any dial up provider if you are with KC, it's just they have the monopoly over broadband!
DEBT FREE for the first time in 10 years and with savings!
