The Acer N30 is a very good value PDA, it has the most common features needed and can access USB devices (something which most PDAs can't) but it depends on what features you need. WiFi? Bluetooth? CF and SD cards?

    This one runs windows mobile

This one runs the palm operating system

Both should do the basics, and both can be added to to make into a sat nav if wanted, although this could work out to be more expensive than buying a pda with sat nav ability...for example

Hello James, Thank you for the advice, I have managed to buy on Ebay the model you recommended! I think it has the things she wants to use it for.
    Happy Christmas,

Can someone tell me if it is possible to connect a PDA Acer N30 via BlueTooth to my PC, if so HOW does one go about it. It does not auto detect the internet connection, but maybe this is due to my having a static IP address?
I can however connect via BlueTooth to my local folders on my PC and Vice Versa.
I do not have a Network Card as yet................ could this be the problem?
Apart from that.. I am thrilled to death with it! (or at least my daughter is lol lol)
Thanks again AND A Happy New Year:beer:
