Also posted on the travel board but it was suggested I try here
Hi, we're taking my parents back to The Mumbles (Dad's a Swansea boy) for three nights early part of next week. We love the area, but I don't remember how much there is to do around there? Anything we shouldn't miss, and moneysaving tips?
Is Big Pit worth a visit? (on the way home!)
Dad can't walk far so long cliff walks are out!

St Fagans OFF JUNCTION 33 on the way down is lovely-if weather ok-free entry but pay for car parking-not great deal.think you can hire wheel chair/borrow one.
There is a new Maritime museum in swansea not sure of prices but heard its good there.
The tourist board may be able to help as well.:j this money saving is such fun:T0 -
Joes ice cream parlour is still as good as it ever was.0

I second oz's suggestion, although it does get packed - guess it depends when you go mind"a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0

The new waterfront museum could be of interest to your dad, loads of stuff on the history of Swansea, from memory its free entry, I think all musuem's in Wales are. You can waste an hour or two at the marina, just having a bit of wonder around. There are a few coffee shops there, but from past experience your better of heading to Sainsburys & using their cafe, its half price of the other cafes & if sat outside you still have views of the marina.
Mumbles itself is pretty easy going, if its a good day weatherwise, go to the end of Mumbles, pass the apple and park below the coast gaurd station, large car park and great views on a clear day across the bay. There is also a good resteraunt/cafe place there. You probably won't want to walk back into Mumbles from here, narrow road or steep footpath are the only options.0 -
