Hi
My computer (which my husband decided to build reading a computer magazine a few years ago - having no knowledge of computers) is really on it's last legs as the mouse and keyboard keep stopping randomly - so we want to buy a new pc. I would appreciate your views/best buys on what we should get
We use it for word processing mainly and the internet.
I'd like something reliable and reasonably speedy and looking to spend under £400 if possible.
Your advise please
Mimosa

Have a look at the Inspiron 530 here:
www.dmxdimension.com
There's a couple of models for £399 including monitor. Remember Quidco for a few quid back.Charlie0 -
Do you need a monitor?
If you're not playing games pretty much anything should do the job. Have a look at https://www.dmxdimension.com for the best offers on Dells and just get whichever takes your fancy. Bear in mind Vista uses a lot of resources so get something with a lot of RAM, at least 2Gb.
If you look at the Inspiron 530 range there is one for £299 with a Core 2 Duo processor (a good processor) and 2 Gb of RAM. The graphics are integrated but that;'s fine if you're not playing games. If you need a monitor there is one the same spec but with a smaller hard drive and a 20" Monitor for £399.It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0
