Isa lock in's

Hi

I'm looking for a new ISA as a long term savings plan but I'd like one with a lock in so as to stop the temptation to dip into it.
Also one which can be paid straight from my wage would be ideal and it will be well under 3k a year going into it.
Any suggestions or advise please?

Mark

  • Call me naive, but if you are locked in long term what is to stop the bank from reducing the interest rate to a derisory level? I would only consider an ISA that I can transfer both in and out of

    Broadback, fixed term ....

You can get fixed rate ISAs where if you drop in you lose interest, so it makes you think twice about dipping in.

Head over to moneysupermarket, go to savings, choose ISA and fixed term, and there will be a list of the best available at the moment.
