Hi, I am raising money for a little girl with cancer who needs treatment in america to stand a chance of beating it.
I am organising a pamper evening and a xmas xhopping evening, we thought we would offer a glass of wine to sell, but I am wondering if we would need a license to sell alcohol??
Would we get round this by charging a £1 admittance and give a glass of wine free - if you get what I mean????
Thanks

Hi Vikki
She has Neuroblastoma, but we need to find the money ourselves, the charities only usually promote your cause as such. They put your details on their website. Unless you know of something we haven't found yet. Thanks for your reply :-)0 -
Yes you would need a license to sell alcohol and you might even run into problems giving it out 'free' as there are rules about the supply, not only sale of alcohol I'm not quite sure where to suggest you ask for more info though, sorry.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Just go to your local council website or phone and ask for the licencing board. Application is quick and easy for a one off licence. Feel free to p.m me if you need any more help .

We got round this by auctioning off the wine, and then people were free to open it and drink it as they wished, our ciuncil were fine with this but a quick call should sort it with your local council. When is the event?

We were ok to charge an entrance fee and then give a free glass of wine to everyone** Karin **0
