Hi there, I have sky plus in the main room (A) in our house so that I can watch or save programmes to view later, I have sky box in the other room (B) so that i can view whatever is on at the time but I can 't save to the box like i can in the other room. what is the best way to go about being able to save programmes to view in room B as well as A. in room B i have a dvd recorder player but not in room A. should I get another box or another DVD recorder so that I can download to DVD and watch in Room B.
thanks

there are 2 ways of doing this..
setup 1 - cheap option..
sky+ box, into TV 1.. Magic Eye remote thingy into TV2, and sky box into TV2..
this enables you to a - watch whatever you want via the sky box on tv 2,
watch what you have recorded on your sky+ box on tv2, as long as tv1 isnt' being used.
option 2 - the simpler option..
get a new sky+ box for TV2, and record programmes on that!
that's what i'd do..

Can you have two Sky+ boxes in one house? Would that not involve four wires coming in?
I'd say put the DVD recorder in room A and get a DVD player for room B. Then you can save the stuff from your Sky+ box onto DVD and watch then DVDs in room B.
There's a specific way to save stuff from Sky+ onto DVD. Haven't got a DVD recorder so don't really know how it works, but it looks simple enough.
The advantage of doing it this way is that you can also save films, old favourites, etc, onto DVD and free up some space on your Sky+ box.
The disadvantage of having two Sky+ boxes is that you would have to record everything you wanted twice as you wouldn't necessarily know which room you would want to watch it in.0 -
