Faulty Samsung LCD - Help please!

Hello All,
I bought an LCD from Martin Dawes approx 2 years ago and last night it decided to pack up and display nothing but strange lines and boxes and constantly switch itselft on and off. Sounds like a major fault to me!
I haven't purchased an extended warrantee but would still expect a TV I paid £1k for to work perfectly for longer than 2 years.
I phoned Samsung this morning who put me in contact with a 3rd party maintenance company who are coming out tomorrow to take a look and possibly repair it. I've paid their callout, repair and delivery fee and there will be additional costs if new parts are needed.
What are my rights as far as this are concerned? Can I go back to Samsung and request some sort of contribution to the cost of the repair or ask them to pay the full cost?
I've heard some people talk about the sale of goods act before but not 100% sure on my entitlements? Should I be claiming from Martin Dawes or Samsung?
Any help would be appreciated, cheers.

Anything you buy should be fit for purpose and last a reasonable amount of time. 2 years is not reasonable for an LCD tv. Read the website link and fight your corner! Good luck.0
