Selling my car but receive calls from companies who wanna seel it for me !
Ive put my car in the paper to sell it. I seem to be getting a few calls from companies that say that they have a purchaser ready for me. That they arrange the finance for the customer and that how they sell the vehicle for me. Its the old you give me £99 pound and we'll end the people around thing. There seems to be many different types of these companies. I've just listened to one give me the patter and I must admit I cant fault it. However I am still cautious. Any advice ? The lastest one to call me is vehcileworldservices - anyone had any dealings with them ?
I owe many thanks to free-easy-money.com !

ignore them total nonsense
unless they want paying after the transaction
if these services were any good there would be a webpage of adverts for cars people want, rather than the convetional method you are using0 -
You are right to be cautious, they are scam merchants generally, why should you pay them £99 up front with no guarantee of a sale?.
They will very likely take your money and you will never hear from them again.0 -
if you want, send the money to me. I'll do just as much for it.
nothing.Remember the time he ate my goldfish? And you lied and said I never had goldfish. Then why did I have the bowl Bart? Why did I have the bowl?0 -

They are, and every time market conditions are getting a bit tougher they're back on the phone. One reason I'm not too keen about selling a vehicle via classified ads sites anymore as for some reason you seem to be getting less of that when you go via sites like ebay.
Mind you, the people how tend to email you "would you take (asking price / 3) in cash" (what else would I take? Kauri shell options?) more or less make up for that.0 -
Put them on hold while you go off and do the washing up.0

tell them you'd sold it. or tell them an anecdotal story about the car, it's history, a day at the beach etc etc. how much value it would add, how they're paying for it, I'm sure they'll soon give up, then you get to laugh at them for free.Remember the time he ate my goldfish?
