Apologies if this isn't the right place - it is about helping other disabled people who have no dosh, so hopefully the wonderful people on this board won't mind
Jacobs Well helps ill and disabled people in (mainly) third world countries. I came across them when I was looking to donate surplus colostomy supplies - they are horrendously expensive and it is such a shame to just throw them away.
They probably accept other unused medical supplies, but I haven't checked that out.

I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.

My husband has disposed of lots of boxes of stoma bags sometimes because they have been cut incorrectly or the wrong presciption he has asked suppliers to take them back but they refuse even the hospital don't want them most boxes have been unopened. I wonder if we could have a sticky on this board for donating no longer needed medical items or supplies either in this country or elsewhere?0

Many thanks Daisy for that link. I often have ostomy appliances just out of date. Although I cannot use them on patient's it's such a crime to just throw them away, as you say due to the cost involved.
Will be nice to donate instead :beer:Now thanks to Tommix & Queen Bear, now Lady Westy of Woodpecker0
