Need help traveling from South coast to London

I have to travel to London (oxford circus) for the day coming from Dorset and I am not sure the best way to do it.
Ive heard it may be best to drive to Richmond and catch the tube or is Morden best? How much does it cost and where do I stop...is it Leicester Square and is parking easy in Richmond/Morden?

Not sure about the parking bit of your question. A cash single fare from either will cost £4.00. So if you are planning to return in one day, probably best to get a travel card, or invest in an Oyster (single fare would be £2.50 with it). Leicester Square is one of a number of central London stations, though if you are going to Oxford Circus they have a tube station there as well. If you are coming from Morden, you will need to change at Charing Cross, for the northbound Bakerloo line. And from Richmond, it would need a change at Victoria, to the northbound Victoria line.
