Aldi fizzy water has lost it's fizz!

Has anyone else noticed that Aldi seemed to have changed the supplier of their carbonated spring water?
They now sell in 4 x 2 litre multi packs.
I didn't mind this as I tend to bulk buy it when I go there anyway.
BUT - it's hardly fizzy at all!!
I though I had got a bad batch this first time, but I'm now on a fresh batch and that isn't fizzy either.
 time to shop around and get it elsewhere I think

Not fizzy water, but their new apple/blackcurrant squash has gone very watery. I'm finding you need twice as much. Whilst i'm at, they changed their flour from 1.5kgs to 1kg but kept the same price!
If only there were more Lidls around, or if more of the German discounters came over (Plus, Penny Market, Norma), then Aldi might have a bit of healthy competion.0 -
I've noticed the change in Aldi's apple and blackcurrant squash too. Very watery, and the flavour has changed, its not as nice as it used to be. Same company is supposedly making it (SunQuen), but not at all impressed.
shopping more at lidl these days anyway. glad we have both aldi and lidl close by...0 -
have you thought of writing to your local MP?0

Buying bottled water seems so stupid. All you need do is buy a jug filter, filter tap water and then put it in the fridge..Try adding a few drops of lemon juice to give you a refreshing, healthy and chilled drink at a fraction of the cost.
Moving water about on our roads in glass bottles is not doing the environment much good.0 -
Not sure how that helps with fizzy water or squash. 0 -

Hmm but I like fizzy water, which is what this thread is about. Putting water in the fridge does not make it fizzy!0 -

If you want it to fizz, use a Sodastream.0 -
