Fixed rate savings account allowing payments in

I am selling my house and am likely to have the money in about two months time.I want to put it somewhere for 6 to 9 months .I am looking for a fixed rate savings account that I can open now with a minimal amount and in a few months time pay in the larger amount at the high fixed rate.If I leave it till I get the money to open the account I fear that rates will have gone down.Do you have any suggestions?

It is very rare that fixed rate accounts allow you to add more money at the same rate.
Egg briefly offered one paying 6.3% fixed for a year which I quickly grabbed but have now withdrawn it. I'm not aware of any others, but if you find any let me know!0 -
If you are over 50, Coventry BS have one @ 6.25%Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0
